The Fifth Taverna Ball
I hope you will like photos from the fifth Taverna ball. Part of them was made with my ancient Canon 400D and part with a borrowed Canon 5D Mark II. Apparently, I should get some new hardware.
The Taverna Ball is an event with a five years tradition. Its origin can be traced to one question: „How could the fantasy fans look in suits and gowns?“ The main parts of the guests as well as the organisator are connected by the discussion forum Taverna, but as the years passed by, the ball became popular amongst a far wider range of people.
As usually, the necessary space was provided by Sokolovna Hostivar, which once again proves to be a very pleasant host – they even moved their ow schedule event to enable the ball to be in the most preferred date.
And what was happenig at such an event? Well, of course there was dancing, but beyond that, the programme was quite rich indeed. Besides the usual dancing, there were also so called dancing orders which served for breaking the ice and getting to know each other. Another important part of the ball were the dance performances – this year there were four. First was the Stardance number of Cinkapi and Armus from Taverna, then the show of ballroom dances by the dancers’ group Lento and two other acts, one, trying to represent Chess, was performed by the group Exklam and the other was The Cell Block Tango from the famous musical Chicago.
The fifth Taverna Ball was as the previous ones a very pleasant social event with a domestic atmosphere.
If you are looking for someone at the photos and you can’t find him try the gallery of Emil Emilovic, he might have had better luck.
